How To Use the AAPI Heritage Month Worksheets

Incorporate these worksheets in lessons throughout the month of May to:

  • Practice reading comprehension. Build background knowledge and practice reading comprehension with the What Is AAPI Heritage Month? text and corresponding comprehension pages.
  • Teach geography. Use maps alongside these worksheets to support students’ knowledge of the globe.
  • Expand students’ AAPI knowledge. Learn about the various AAPI regions and foods that are associated with each culture. Then, match regions and foods as a class, on a bulletin board, or in pairs.
  • Study an important person in AAPI history. Students research an influential figure and write a short biography about them. They can then read the completed biographies to a younger grade or share them with parents.
