Bishop Druitt College has appointed a new Principal following a national and international search process that drew strong interest from a diverse field of candidates.
Simon Doyle, who steps into the role from Term 2, 2025, had served the College with distinction as Assistant Principal and Head of Secondary School and brings over seven years of proven leadership and strategic development to the role.
“Simon’s leadership combines strategic clarity, authenticity, and a deep commitment to continuing the momentum the college has built in recent years,” David Ford, Chair of the College Council, said.
“He is dedicated to making thoughtful, courageous decisions while maintaining a clear vision for the future and honouring the college’s proud legacy.”
A philosophy grounded in equity, voice, and purpose
A strong advocate for student wellbeing and inclusive education, Doyle has championed innovations with our staff such as our cross-campus learning initiatives including Designing for Deep Learning, developing new metrics for success, creating digital badging opportunities, further developing the College’s rites of passage and embedding its high school programs of acceleration.
“I am deeply honoured to take on the role of Principal at Bishop Druitt College,” Doyle said on his appointment.
“It is a privilege to build on the momentum and success that the college has already achieved, and I am committed to leading with a clear vision while staying true to the values and legacy that have shaped this wonderful community.”
