Brain Dash 60 is a Popular Quiz Game from We Are Teachers

by

We have a new game to share with you at We Are Teachers. It’s called Brain Dash 60, and it’s a quiz-based game that students can play again and again.

When we set out to make this game, we wanted something that would work in real classrooms—something simple and flexible, whether you have 60 seconds or 10 minutes. We already launched Word Lab (our daily word game) and saw how much teachers and students enjoyed it. And we know game-based learning isn’t just fun—studies show it really works and actually helps with memory and retention.

What to Expect From Brain Dash 60

Brain Dash 60 gives you two ways to play:

  • Timed mode: Answer as many questions as you can in 60 seconds.
  • Untimed mode: Answer 12 questions at your own pace.

Along the way, you’ll find fun twists—like bonus points for streaks, the ability to skip a question, or a chance to triple your points if you’re feeling confident.

The goal isn’t to ace it on the first try. We actually want students to miss a few questions because the next time they see them, they’re more likely to remember the answer. It’s about progress and repetition in a way that feels like a game (not a test).

Designed for Replay

We didn’t want to create something students play once and forget. So we built Brain Dash 60 with replay in mind. Each game includes at least 50 questions, and they’re randomized so it’s never quite the same twice. The more you play, the more familiar the content becomes, and we believe there’s a lot of opportunity for meaningful learning by approaching it this way.

Here’s What Teachers Told Us

We shared early versions of the game with teachers and asked them to try it out with their students. Here’s a bit of what we heard:

“My students LOVED this. They wanted to keep playing longer than I had allotted and asked to play it again later in the day.” — Natasha McDonald

“It was the best kind of chaos—laughing, shouting out answers, gentle ribbing at mistakes. They were having a great time, even when they got answers wrong.” — J. Ansbach

Try It Out and Check Back Often

We’re starting with a few themes, but more are on the way. You can find Brain Dash 60 on our We Are Teachers Game Hub and use it whenever you need a quick brain break, a class warm-up, or a new way to review content.

We’d love to hear how you’re using it—and what kinds of themes you want next. You can always share here.
