Have you booked your table for the Australian Education Awards 2025?

There are just four weeks left before the premier independent awards event in the K-12 education kicks off at the Star Event Centre in Sydney.

Held on Friday 8 August, the Australian Education Awards 2025 will showcase the top-performing schools, principals, department heads and teachers for their outstanding achievements and transformative work that makes a profound difference to the lives of young people across Australia.

The in-person black-tie gala event will be hosted by Dave Hughes, one of Rolling Stone magazine’s top 50 living Australian and NZ entertainment Icons. Serenading the audience on the night will be Modern Vintage – some of Australia’s finest musicians who have been performing collectively for more than 20 years.

The Awards’ categories span 29 individual, school, curriculum, and national accolades, including the national awards of Australian School Principal of the Year and the Australian School of the Year.

Another Award that will be up for grabs is Education Rising Star of the Year, which celebrates an exceptional early-career Australian teacher whose innovation, dedication, and community engagement have powerfully enhanced student learning and demonstrated clear leadership potential.

Sponsoring this Award will be FACTS, an organisation that provides school and tuition management solutions that help schools realise their vision, foster growth, and support students.

“At FACTS, our core value of giving back to the communities where we live and work is really important to us, and that includes supporting the people shaping the future of education,” FACTS Director, Wendy Demarte, told The Educator.

“We’re proud to back rising educators who are already making an impact early in their careers. Sponsoring this award is our way of celebrating their dedication and helping shine a light on the next generation of education leaders.”

Demarte said events like The Australian Education Awards do more than recognise great work.

“These awards champion the unseen effort, creativity, and heart that educators bring to their work every day. Celebrating those contributions reminds us all why we do what we do—and encourages others to keep pushing forward.”

With just four weeks remaining till the event, don’t miss this opportunity to shine a spotlight on remarkable achievements – nominate your colleague, school, or even yourself today!
