Paridad Education Consulting will be hosting its sixth annual Multilingual Special Education Symposium on April 16-17.
This virtual symposium is designed for educators, practitioners, and school leaders working at the intersection of multilingual education and special education. The focus of this year’s symposium is assessment and the theme is “Perspectives and Practices to Transform Learning Landscapes.”
“During this collaborative learning experience, we will explore strength-based, dynamic, and culturally-sustaining ways to redesign and optimize learning environments, while amplifying the voices of multilingual learners with special education needs,” says Paridad.
Featured speakers include Dr. Johanne Paradis, professor at the University of Alberta, Dr. Margo Gottlieb, co-founder and lead developer of WIDA, and Michele Yanong, education specialist at the Illinois Resource Center.
General registration costs $395, but deeply discounted tickets are available for master’s and doctoral students.
