
This current generation of young teachers and educators has been shaped by rapid technological change, rising workload pressures and industry-wide workforce shortages. As a result, school leaders across the country say today’s standout early-career teachers are stepping up, bringing a powerful blend of adaptability, ambition and values-driven leadership to their roles.
In November 2025, entries opened for The Educator’s Rising Stars (& School Leadership Award) 2026. The 11th annual showcase spotlights the young professionals making a real impact in Australia’s K–12 education sector.
Last year’s report featured inspiring educators who introduced innovative programs, championed student wellbeing, and led their schools through significant challenges.
After reviewing an exhaustive list of entries for the 2026 list, 40 individuals and 30 schools were recognised for standing out above the rest.
